Reiki
Reiki is an ancient healing method widely used today as a holistic
health practice. The name comes from the Japanese REI meaning
Universal, and KI which is Life Force Energy, the energy that nourishes
and sustains all living things. A Reiki practitioner uses gentle touch
to transmit this energy, restoring one's natural balance and alignment,
imparting vitality to all body systems and organs, and assisting the
body in healing itself physically, mentally, emotionally, and
spiritually. Reiki is usually practiced while the recipient lays on a
massage table, fully clothed, and enjoying a deep state of relaxation.
Reiki is both powerful and gentle. It supports and improves
the effectiveness of all other types of therapy, medical treatment, and
supplemental healing methods. It can relieve pain, speed post-operative
healing and stop bleeding. During a Reiki session blood pressure
lowers, respiration slows and a deep calming occurs, relieving stress
and leaving both the practitioner and client feeling a deepened sense
of peace and harmony.
Reiki is for everyone! It is beneficial for adults, elders, children,
babies and animals. Reiki sessions are available both in-person and
long distance, though many experience increased relaxation and
rejuvenation by fully immersing their senses in the spa-type experience
that is offered at Integrate Healing Arts.
A typical adult session lasts approximately 60 minutes and costs $60.
A children's session will usually last less time depending on various
factors such age, health, and needs, and will be charged accordingly:
15 minutes $20
20-30 minutes $30
30-60 minutes will be at the rate of $1 a minute.
